If you’re here, chances are you’re either expecting a baby or you’ve recently welcomed one into the world – and that in itself is something truly special. Congratulations.
I’m Cathy, a specialist newborn photographer in Leigh, Lancashire, and my role is to help you pause time during one of the most fleeting seasons of your life.
Newborns change incredibly quickly. That’s why newborn photography is ideally carried out within the first 21 days, while your baby is still naturally sleepy and comfortable in those beautiful, womb-like poses.
But more than that – It’s about a calm, guided, baby-led session, where you can relax knowing your baby is safe, settled and lovingly photographed by someone who understands both newborns and new parents.
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to worry about your baby crying.
You just need to arrive, I’ll take care of the rest.
How it works
We pencil your newborn photoshoot into our diary from your 20-week scan. The date stays flexible because babies arrive in their own time – early, late, or right on cue and we always do our very best to accommodate you.
On the day of your session, everything is calm and unhurried. We work entirely around your baby, following their cues, with safety and comfort always coming first. With extensive training in newborn handling and posing, you can relax, breathe, and simply enjoy the experience while I take care of everything else.

PORTFOLIO
When can I see my photos?
During your shoot we will arrange a viewing appointment. You will be invited back to the studio two weeks after your session to view your final gallery of approximately 20 beautifully enhanced and fully edited images. It’s at this point when you decide what you may want to purchase.
What shall I bring to the shoot?
Bring with you feeds, a dummy if they have one, and snacks for yourself. It’s a long shoot – but we allow plenty of time so that we don’t feel rushed.
How long is the session?
A Newborn photoshoot is 3 – 4 hours
Do you charge extra for siblings to be involved in the photoshoot?
No – We encourage all family members to be a part of the session
My baby is 6 weeks old already, have I missed the opportunity to get them photographed?
If your baby is older, don’t worry we can still get beautiful images but the older they are the harder it is to get baby settled and curled into stunning sleepy poses so we have created a Mini Session for babies upto 6 weeks old.
